Recently, Kyle Stewart, co-executive director of the Missouri Outdoor Communicators, informed me I had won an award in the annual destination writing contest for the 2015 MOC Conference in Branson, MO. This is my first award pertaining to writing and I couldn’t be more ecstatic!

The article, which won me 2nd place, was chosen by the Branson CVB. I consider it to be my best piece of work and I’m so happy others recognized it. Fishing Lake Taneycomo has always been a passion of mine, and I was able to fish it with guide Steve Dickey last year at the MOC Conference. The experience was unlike any other I’ve had on the lake, and I felt compelled to put it into words as best I could. Take a look at the article that won me my first writing award..

Thank you to the Missouri Outdoor Communicators, Steve Dickey for giving me the experience, and the Branson CVB for recognizing my work. Most of all I’d like to thank my grandparents for taking me to Lake Taneycomo every year of my life. Without them, this article would not exist.
